About this opportunity: We are getting ready to launch and scale a stealth travel tech startup that uses machine learning to power personalised discovery, planning and booking of experiences and activities. Financially backed by one of the largest global travel brands, this venture is well-positioned to disrupt the $250 Billion APAC travel experiences industry. The company is currently in pre-launch and is expected to enter the market early-2020. 

 

We're looking for motivated senior frontend engineers to join our journey. As one of our first engineering hires, you will be responsible for using your technical expertise to help shape the product from an early stage and implement core features of the platform.

 

This is an opportunity to work in a team with other senior engineers, designers, and product managers who deliver high-quality software.

Required experience:

• We use React with SCSS, and test with RITEway, but if you have the following experience, we think you'd be a great fit:
• Building production-grade, performant frontend apps with a modern JS framework like React, VueJS, or Angular
• Working with CSS preprocessors like SASS, SCSS, or LESS
• Unit or functional testing with a framework like Mocha, Jest, or similar
• Component-level UI testing, with tools like Storybook
• Working closely and proactively with product managers and designers to deliver a high-quality user experience
• Working closely and proactively with the backend team to ensure consistency and availability

Optional experience

• Please also let us know if you have experience with any of the following, although these are not required:
• OAuth 2.0 integration with a third-party provider like Cognito, Okta, or Auth0
• A/B testing libraries and frameworks such as Optimizely, Launch Darkly, PlanOut
• Delivering cross-platform apps with tools like React Native or NativeScript
• Continuous integration and delivery with Travis, CircleCI, or similar
• Experience working in the travel industry or with B2C platforms
