Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/x) - IoT & Industry 4.0 venture

This digital business unit in close partnership with BCG Digital Ventures is currently working on building the leading end to end IoT platform for machine efficiency and equipment effectiveness. This platform will not just completely reshape how companies produce and elevate their efficiency levels, but at the same time fundamentally augment the way how manufacturing employees do their job.

As they envision strong growth, they are looking for a “Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/x)“ to join the innovative and ambitious team in Berlin and shape the creation of a state-of-the-art solution from early on.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, scale and maintain web and mobile UIs using React and React Native
• Lead and/or drive the technical development for large areas of the product
• Work closely with product managers, UX, data scientists and backend engineers
• Provide technical leadership, share knowledge and guide more junior team members
• Help to grow and develop the frontend team, playing a role in the process of hiring new team members  
• Foster a culture of continuous delivery and test-driven development
• Champion good agile practices that provide a foundation for iterative product development and build valid solutions to live problems
• Staying up-to-date with current technologies
• Solving challenging problems in areas of: IoT, M2M, Connectivity, Machine Learning and Industry 4.0

Key Requirements

• Several years of experience in developing frontends (based on JavaScript and ideally React framework)
• Ideally, experience in building mobile applications React Native
• A good eye for UX and a user-centric approach
• Experience working with agile, lean, test-driven and continuous delivery approaches
• Ability to manage your workload and self-prioritize
• Experience in mentoring or willingness to mentor other team members
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic & fast-paced environment
• Very good English skills, German or additional European language knowledge is a plus
• Interest in ML, IoT, industrial automation, digital production, smart manufacturing and industry 4.0 as well as desire to create solid and scalable products
