Eaton’s Energy Automation Solutions Division is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for Enterprise Systems. Position Overview As a company specializing in automation solutions related to the energy field, we are looking for a senior full stack developer. You will be responsible for software development and maintenance in the context of our enterprise software platforms. You will participate in the definition of needs and solutions, investigate and solve various problems, code and test the functionalities of the software that you develop or maintain. You will also be exposed to different aspects and technologies of our substation automation products and will work in collaboration with a variety of technical experts. Essential Functions Designs, implements, and maintains efficient, reliable, and reusable code. Analyzes technical specifications and proposes innovative solutions. Develops and documents verification test plans. Writes unit tests and automated integration tests, performs manual testing, reviews peer-written code and writes reports. Participates in the investigation of problems by gathering enough information to find the root causes and fix them. Participates in all stages of the development cycle : Requirements, Design, Coding, Testing, Release, Documentation, Reviews of peers. Participates in sprint planning exercises, daily Scrum meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum experience of 5 years in software development. Minimum experience of 3 years in C# with solid analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Minimum experience of 2 years with relational database systems (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle or other). French (spoken and written) and business functional level in English (spoken and written). No relocation is being provided. Candidates must live within 80-kilometer radius of Montreal, QC. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution. Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework (LINQ, WPF, WCF, Async). Experience in web application development (ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, CSS, IIS). Experience developing software solutions communicating with intelligent digital devices for electrical utilities or industrial markets. Experience with our standard development tools (Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL Server). Knowledge of secure development practices. Understanding of typical software architecture and best practices for software development. Experience doing software development in C++. Experience with basic networking. We make what matters work.
