About opportunity 

Our Hong Kong based Geotechnical Team is growing and are looking for talent individuals to join our team who have the passion and drive to add value and shape positive solutions for major project across Design and Engineering sectors in Hong Kong. 

We currently have any opportunity for a Senior Geologist within our Geotechnical Team based in Hong Kong. The successful person will work as a part of a diverse and highly skilled team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists, providing support and advice to the wider Jacobs business and clients.

• Report to Geotechnical Section Leader, you will assist in planning geotechnical investigations on major engineering projects.
• Analysis and interpretation of data obtained from site investigation
• Supervise technical staff to undertaking geological assessments for man-made slopes, natural terrain studies and other geotechnical works.
• Participate in proposals, tender submission & technical reports such as geotechnical assessment report, natural terrain hazard report, rock mapping reports, etc
• Attend design and site other project related meeting may require.

About you 

• Degree holder in Geology/Earth Sciences/ Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of post-degree experience in geology
• Familiar with a range of geological and geotechnical software preferred
• Site and office-based experience in engineering geology
• Proactive, energetic, quality oriented and have a high sense of accountability
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
