Job Description

Intel is in an exciting time of growth and investment in support of our strategy to become the most successful semi-conductor company on the planet. This position is the lead HR Director of the next US greenfield mega-site, which is a large-scale, multi fab, 3000+ employee operation supporting Intel's internal and foundry wafer supply with production expected to start in 2025. This site is primed to become the largest semi-conductor plant in the world.

The Senior HR Director candidate will be the point of accountability for all HR functions for Intel Ohio. They will act as a strategic business partner to the Factory Manager and other executive leaders at the site. The incumbent will be responsible for building best in class HR systems and processes to enable the site expansion. They will hire, build and manage the Business HR team who will support the site once up and running. The role requires demonstrated strategic partnering and influencing skills to work across internal COEs.

The candidate needs to have a proven track record as a proactive, solution-oriented HR leader focused on driving value to the business. This value will be built on creating a foundation that factors in elements of HR systems, workforce planning, organizational development, talent management, change management, organizational design, and creating plans to prove out organizational initiatives and projects. Ability to develop end to end HR plans to effectively enable start-up and ramps of manufacturing facilities is critical, as is the proven ability to build and develop a best-in-class positive employee relations culture. Candidate will coordinate complex stakeholder relationships and implement systems that address demonstrated business needs proactively and reactively. Candidate needs to be able to assess intangible variables to identify and evaluate fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major HR functional areas.

Main Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Collaborate and consult with Factory Manager/staff to build workforce planning and talent solutions which enable factory ramp.

  • Implement start up HR systems, processes and playbooks to address demonstrated business needs.

  • Application of general employee relations, org development, learning, diversity, labor relations, and HR processes.

  • Application of in-depth manufacturing and business strategy knowledge.

  • Driving Positive Employee Relations strategies across the site.

  • Hire, Manage and Lead an HR team in order to provide proactive and effective solutions to employees, managers, and leaders.

  • Create a culture of agility and innovation where ideas for growth are encouraged across boundaries.

  • Assess intangible variables to identify and evaluate fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for closure.

  • Navigate paradox though complex stakeholder relationships.

Demonstrated capabilities in developing and leveraging HR metrics to guide HR effectiveness. Strong expertise in problem-solving and developing solutions based upon facts/data analytics.

  • HR and industry acumen: broad HR subject matter expertise in areas of Talent Acquisition, Talent Development/Management, Workforce Diversity, Positive Employee Relations, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Succession Planning. Deep and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices with a focus on emerging trends in talent development and the future of work.

Candidate must be available to do a 6-month assignment in Arizona between 2022-2023.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Arts, or an M.B.A. degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of related experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and with hourly workers.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
