Eaton’s electrical sector is currently seeking a HR Generalist to join our team. This position is based at our Horseheads, NY facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. Position Overview: Provide information and guidance to internal/external personnel regarding policies, procedures and practices relative to employee benefits, staffing plans, labor relations and other Human Relations issues within a union and non-union environment. In this function you will: Responsible for providing information and guidance relative to the implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the Eaton Horseheads facility. Management of all hourly and salary records in Oracle HRMS. Process of hew hires including announcements, orientation programs and training plans. Manage all final employment details or transfer processing, including background checks and drug testing. Monitor and implement all hourly job changes, rates changes and step progressions. Implement all yearly wage changes for hourly workforce as per local contract agreement. Assist in preparation of HR metric data. Administer Contingent Workforce Management Program. Coordinate recruitment efforts, post requisitions and create Interview tools. Advocate and market HR programs driving culture change towards employee engagement and inclusion Lead Community Involvement and Employee Engagement committees Coordinate and schedule bi - yearly Employee Survey process. Hourly and Salary Payroll responsibilities Coordinate employee recognition events, local Eaton University Seminars, Health & Wellness programs. Minimum three (3) years of human resources experience Previous experience working with a union Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: MBA Manufacturing industry experience Previous experience with payroll We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
