Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our Dallas Distribution Center team. This position is based in Dallas, TX. Position Overview: The primary function of the HR Generalist will be to support the HR function in the implementation and deployment of Human Resources policies, programs, and initiatives. In this function you will: Conduct recruiting process including interviews and selection, support ramp up plans and identify creative sourcing strategies for the site Facilitate new employee orientations and identify improvements in the candidate and employee onboarding experience Assist with managing employee lifecycle including onboarding and offboarding to include process improvements and analytics Process bi-weekly payroll and provide timekeeping support to employees and supervisors Coordinate disability claims (STD and LTD), leaves of absence (FMLA), and workers’ compensation (WC) claims with HR Services Support daily employee related activities and processes to promote positive employee relations. Collaborate with HR Services on all transactional HR matters. Provide assistance and administrative support in the areas of employment processing, HRMS and ensure integrity in all HR systems with timely and accurate data entry and frequent audits. Drive Inclusion and Diversity through team meetings, events, and feedback. Coordinate communications on site events, employee engagement and HR policies Work with supervisors/managers on effective handling of retention, performance management, and engagement strategies. Support in running and creating reports, analyzing information and providing data for the HR function within the site Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution Minimum of 5 years of human resources generalist experience Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in human resources, labor relations or business administration HR experience in a manufacturing environment or distribution center strongly desired. PHR/SPHR Certification Willingness to relocate to other Eaton locations throughout the US for future opportunities Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws, (ADA, OFCCP, EEOC, Wage and Hour, State Unemployment Compensation, State Worker's Compensation, etc.) Knowledge of HR systems and reporting (e.g. Oracle) Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Org Plus, and PowerPoint) Position Criteria: Ability to work independently while demonstrating good discretion, quality decision making and judgement on business issues Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects across multiple functions Demonstrate strong ethics and values; be widely trusted; direct and truthful, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence.
