YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 

• Develop, modify and implement HSE programs and monitor performance of HSE programs and regulatory compliance with all Corporate and Country regulations. Assure all safety and environmental incidents are reported to the appropriate authority.
• Lead the development of the Philippines HSE strategy and work collaboratively with sub-regional HSE counterparts to ensure effective execution.
• Establish operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to HSE Advisor.
• Ensure development of the HSE team in their technical HSE skills and their people skills.
• Actively engage and collaborate in key strategic initiatives leveraging Bayer’s commitment to HSE excellence
• Promote the use of global safety trend analysis, direct the proper use of root cause incident investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and materials.  Analyze safety data and advise appropriate recommendations to prevent new or recurring accidents.
• Facilitate the systematic identification and management of HSE risks at all sites.
• Develop and manage HSE compliance and inspection programs for sites and field operations to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards.
• Design and ensure implementation of the occupational health program and other health initiatives such as wellness programs in  compliance with local laws, global and regional guidelines and site/ business needs
• Be the main point of contact for the appropriate government agencies in Philippines in regards to HSE.

WHO YOU ARE :

• BS Degree or higher in HSE, Engineering, Science, or related fields.  Preferably Registered Electrical Engineer
• Safety Officer 3 / Pollution Control Officer (DENR) (preferable)
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required, preferably with production and/or chemical processing related background, including leadership roles in HSE.
• Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the Philippines HSE regulatory landscape.
• Ability to deliver results through collaboration with key business and functional partners.
• Success in a complex, multi-national company
• Highly effective verbal, written and presentation skills with all organizational levels in English.
• Expected to travel extensively between all related locations.
