Purpose of the Job:
The role of this position is to support Bekaert construction business growth in China by identifying opportunities and growth drivers, building up market development & sales acceleration plan, formulating and driving the business case & strategy for different construction segments
Your Role
  • Identify construction segment opportunities and growth drivers
    • Analyze segment potential, customer needs, Bekaert differentiation potential and ecosystem, clearly map out the market 'as is' situation based on deep facts & figures
    • Figure out Bekaert opportunities by comparing Bekaert competencies
    • Identify growth drivers, and figure out what Bekaert can do to capture the growth drivers
  • Develop market development plans and sales acceleration plans for specific construction segments
    • Define the market entry plans, ways to market, key enablers, to develop the new market
    • Define the sales acceleration plans and actions for identified opportunities
  • Build up convincing business case & strategy for specific construction segments
    • Build up convincing business cases in systematic why-what-how approach
    • Suggest on strategic roadmap, business model, strategic initiatives, and long term strategy
    • Suggest and follow up on partnerships to accelerate the strategy implementation
  • Influence and drive the implementation of the plans & strategies
    • Hold workshops & discussion sessions to get and consolidate strategic inputs
    • Get buy in and drive the implementation of the proposals and suggestions by all means
  • Identify and follow up business development leads
    • Identify and follow up business development leads and initiatives, based on established plans and strategies
Your Profile
  • Bachelor or Master degree in marketing, sales, business administration or construction related technology (esp. civil engineering), or related fileds
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing or business development functions in industrial multinational manufacturing or construction material companies, with proven track records in handling whole cycle of impacting business development projects.
  • Industrial experiences in construction is preferred
  • Professional communication & strong influencing skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, quick learner
  • Pragmatic and results-driven
  • Energetic, highly motivated, self-confident, open-minded
