Position Summary:

 

Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer in our Hoofddorp office. This is a global organization responsible for providing technical support to all Bentley colleagues for any IT incident, service request, or general question. The members of this team are responsible for creating value-added automation points, establishing/communicating consistent strategic direction and enforcing IT policies.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

• Initiate projects designed to improve services for our customers, providing additional self-service tools.
• Test and approve new software being added to devices.
• Collaborate with the Colleague Technology architecture, engineering and risk and service design teams to ensure desired outcomes are met in the context of the overall business and technology strategic vision.
• Perform general network troubleshooting and assist with localized network tasks under direction.
• Assist with developing and conveying new services, offerings, and device standards.
• Closely partner with peers to ensure colleague experience and service design best practices are delivered across the plan/build/run/refresh/retire lifecycle.
• Build installer packages, application updates and operating system updates.
• Develop automation scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, AppleScript) for IT administrative tasks.
• Automate end user support activities to include packaging of software.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as well as assist with training and related materials as needed; serve as a subject matter expert for escalated technical issues or complex use cases.
• Perform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems.
• Ability to occasionally work or assign work during nights/weekends during critical incidents or major project implementations.
• Ability to support & resolve local and non-local (virtual) problems.
• Create and perform regular maintenance on Knowledge Base and incident management system to keep information current and accurate.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

 

• University Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ITIL Foundation V3 or newer is preferable.
• Workflow and process automation experience required.
• Support knowledge of Office 365 Apps, Windows 10, iOS and MacOS, and IT operating systems required.
• Experience supporting Windows Clients, Macs, Jamf Pro, or other MDM experience as well as Apple device management in an enterprise environment preferable.
• Experience in the development and distribution of automated software deployments; the various tools used for application package creation and the delivery approaches for the Mac environment.
• Knowledge of the following product space including MacOS, iOS, Windows, Android, PowerShell/VBScript, Jamf, Azure, Endpoint Manager.
• Application packaging & OS Patching experience.
• Experience with PowerShell, and Jamf command line and self-service management a plus.
• Experience working in an Active Directory environment.
• Experience with Patch Management in a Windows, and Mac environment.
• Experience deploying Windows clients utilizing AutoPilot.
• Effective analytical, planning, organizational, problem determination and resolution process skills.
• Experience operating in a regulated environment.
