Senior Insights Analyst (limited term opportunity)

The Senior Insights Analyst is reporting to the Global HR Reporting & Insights Manager, building and supporting the development of business intelligence tools that it will produce high-quality people insights, innovative analysis, and data solutions for its functional area (to specify which one based on the role). This will enhance key HR stakeholders' data literacy and analytics capabilities, so workforce data & insights are consistently used across the organization to support decision making.
The Senior Insight Analyst is also integral in supporting users with the navigation and interpretation of dashboards and other data solutions as well as offering training where appropriate.
Most of the work in this role is analytical and data orientated but will also require strong relationship building skills and stakeholder management. The Senior Insight Analyst ensures adoption and usage through capabilities building & communications of key stakeholders. The role is working in an agile project management environment, with functional product owners (COEs, Global Process Leads or HR Business Partners) and ensuring deadlines are met, holding different stakeholders to account for delivery.

Education & Professional
Qualifications University degree or equivalent, preferably in HR, Management Systems
Previous analytical experience in a professional environment
Knowledge / Experience
• Highly analytical, have strong mathematical skills and are curious and inquisitive
• Strong numeric and statistical skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Empathetic and customer centric, strong relationship building and stakeholder management
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of programming languages, data transformation and visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Python) with a willingness to further develop skills
• Ability to look at challenges at a macro and micro level, propose solutions that suit both
• Ability to research various sources of information, summarise and communicate back
• Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
• Passion for change and innovation
• Experience of implementing solutions to simplify processes and create efficiencies using technology
• Passionate about technology and taking personal responsibility to stay on top of new developments.
• First experience with Workday and PRISM environment is a plus
What would be your key responsibilities?
Data Management
• Adopt and comply with HR Data Model & Governance framework and requirements
• Understand and consistently adhere to the HR Data principles (in terms of data maintenance, storage, access & use)
• Drive the wider data transformation agenda forward utilising technology to increase efficiencies
Reporting & Enablement
• Provide user-friendly access to most common KPIs and metrics through intuitive and actionable reports & dashboard driving self-service, automation, and standardization
• Build effective solutions using a range of data transformation & analytic tools in response to business requirements
• Evaluate the applicability of and proactively use standard and automated reports and dashboards where available striving to deliver strong customer service while supporting our ambition of digitization, self-service, and automation
• Lead and coordinate the design and deployment of identified solution. The role is expected to be heavily involved in the production and sustainment of the solution
• Identify and use the most appropriate methods and tools to collect, extract, aggregate, organize, format, and summarize data to support the purpose of the report
• Proactively identify potential data issues (e.g., data quality or data privacy) and propose appropriate solutions in partnership with end-users, and relevant expert teams
• Build and maintain documentation related to standard reporting solutions. Advocate and participate in continuous improvement efforts to assist in defining additional reporting and analytic requirements
• Educate end-users on available self-service reporting solutions and provide expertise in the standard reports and dashboards, contributing to build data literacy of P&O teams and data-driven culture
Insights
• In partnership with functional & process leads (COE and Global Process Leads/ HR Solutions team), design & align on a roadmap of deployment of the new reporting and insights solutions for the defined domain, govern and validate new requirements and ensure the execution
• Act as the single reporting & insights point of contact (SPOC) for the defined domain area
• Assist and possibly lead projects and initiatives that incorporate data, analysis and identification of areas for action
• Through robust & proactive analysis, articulate possible root causes of business problems and use data and analytics to help to prove or disprove hypothesis. Leverage available tools and resources (e.g., dashboards, data owners, etc.) to look for trends and/ or potential leading indicators of business issues
• Turn insights into recommendations and effectively communicate them to, and secure buy-in from key stakeholders
• Understand the strengths and limitations of cross-functional data (e.g., Vet Health businesses, finance, sales, etc.) and work with relevant stakeholders to identify solutions for accessibility
• Work closely with Advanced Analytics team in solving more complex hypothesis identified through reporting & insights
Finally, the role is expected to support ad-hoc projects support across the wider team as well as the production of cross-functional dashboards and/or reports when appropriate.
