The Opportunity
The Insights Analysts are the analytical power-house of the team, producing reporting & ad hoc analyses, analysing results and generating insight. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help the business define, shape and implement product management, distribution, marketing and operational strategies as well as contributing to risk management.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Some responsibilities include:
Analyse the business performance and operational metrics and utilise your industry experience and commercial acumen to generate value added, actionable insights
Maintain efficient and accurate reporting models, responding to changing requirement.
Work with your internal stakeholders to understand their information requirements.
Identify and investigate data quality issues, working with internal technology & business solutions colleagues to bring these to resolution.
Build and undertake quality assurance processes to ensure your (and your colleagues’) analytical outputs are right
As a senior analyst, your additional responsibilities will include:
Working with stakeholders to define requirements for new reporting models and leading the development, testing and roll-out of that reporting.
Contributing to a strong controls environment including developing checks and reconciliations, documenting definitions and processes.
Undertaking ad hoc analyses that may involve more complex data challenges, use of externally sourced data, a higher level of commercial or industry acumen, and support for project initiatives.
Contributing to new data warehouse requirements, data governance initiatives and other “technical” BI developments
ABOUT YOU
A passion for using your reporting, data and analysis skills to generate insight for the business
A demonstrated ability to produce visualisations, reports, calculations, models and ad hoc analyses (in particular leveraging SQL and Tableau, or comparable reporting and analytical tools)
A strong customer service ethic and a desire to work with people from around the business
Quality Assurance skill-set (control checking & reconciling to make sure your output is right first time, every time)
Verbal & written communication skills including the communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Role Related Experience
At least 1 year experience in an analyst role with a strong data and reporting focus
