The Candidate;

Must have excellent communication skills including both written and oral Mandarin (English highly desirable), have the ability to take the lead and drive creativity, can effectively operate in a fast paced/high pressured but fun environment, work collaboratively and as part of a team, adopts a hand’s on approach, both responsive and proactive and has a real passion for what they do!

Roles & Responsibilities;

• Develop highly creative Concept Designs and Development.

• Development of strategically aligned workplace concepts.

• Quick turnaround of multiple layouts for various high end projects.

• Onsite coordination and troubleshooting to maintain design standards and meet milestones.

• Management of the documentation for tenders and construction process from concept to completion and overseeing the junior staff execution of this to PDM Group Standards

• Client presentation and negotiations with pitch team, adding creative value and edge.

• Team building and mentoring junior designers to assist them in realizing their full potential.

• Be integral in determining design standards for project development.

• Works with other regional offices to assist in improving their Interior Design capabilities, staff, and technical expertise as requested.

Experience;

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.

• 7+years of experience as an interior designer, ideally with a focus on commercial/corporate interiors.

• Experience/Knowledge of LEED and ABW projects and standards Highly Desirable.

• Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials.

• Outstanding graphic presentation skills.

• Software skills to include AutoCad & Sketch up as well as knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office.

• Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.

• Ability to work well in a multi-cultural, multi lingual team environment.

• Understand and communicate design ideas and give direction quickly.
