Ashley Furniture HomeStore is seeking a qualified Interior Designer to join Design Team. We are looking for highly proactive and motivated candidate with self-initiative and a strong desire to work for a premier furniture retailer. Responsibilities include developing and producing Ashley Furniture Home Store merchandising standards, detailed drawings and team leadership. Implement the visual merchandising of Home Store’s in the US and Internationally, Setup Furniture Market Showrooms.

Job Title: Senior Interior Designer

Report to: Interior & VM Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Merchandising 35%

• 
  Implement the merchandising design strategies.

• Design interior merchandising furniture layouts for Ashley Furniture HomeStore.
• Alignment with merchandising team to fulfill a merchandising list for Customer Service to order.
• Communicate designs to executives, architects, contractors and licensees.
• Cooperate with marketing function to implement and manage the POSM
• Keep refresh the products range and alignment with products life style to update the CAD block and balancing the price level with a higher end merchandising plan.

Visual Merchandising 35%

• 
  Execute successful implementation of display techniques and visual standards

• Follow the VM guide to complete store decoration

• Execute all aspects of store layout including space planning, quantity and mix of merchandise, color scheme, seasonal and special event displays, inventory management, according to approved visual directives.

• Complete regular, holiday and promotional activities VM tasks, including window display preparation and execution.

• Ensure the timely placement of all furniture and accessory merchandise to showroom floor.

• Cooperate with 3rd party sourcing function and merchandising team with new lamp or ACC sourcing to meet Ashley Home Store Request.

  
  Project Management & Team work 30%

• 
  Prepare and update Merchandising & VM SOP documents during Design Development phases.
• Actively participate in department meetings, training and continuing education.
• Assist and work with developing new prototype Home Store Concepts which includes providing input into the detailing of project elements and/or design and detailing of custom features.
• Involve longer team project including but not limited in fair project, new Go products shooting and ABC Training project

Travel is request and in charge of the setup of visual merchandising of Ashley Home Stores and Furniture Market in the US and Internationally.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architect or equivalent

2.1-2 years’ experience in visual merchandising or interior design in retail display, with emphasis on

furniture.

3. Demonstrate a strong flair for style and creative display techniques

4.Knowledge of:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet

• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
