Job Description
In this role, you will manage forecasting & demand ordering, inventory control, purchasing support and also drive continuous improvement to the Supply Chain Team.
The Role
Principal Accountabilities:
- Forecasting
- Analyze trend and work on providing accurate forecast for lenses to improve business performance
- Planning & Ordering
- Liaise with overseas offices on calculating demand orders for lenses and frames
- Proactively follow up overdue orders and help to determine the root causes of delay
- Inventory Management
- Handle stocks return from labs or local warehouse
- Monitor inventory transfer from local warehouse to factories in China and Thailand
- Involve in inventory replenishment process and control for frames’ and lenses’ stocks
- Responsible for stock sharing between overseas sites to make sure adequate supply of frames and lenses for Australia & New Zealand market
- Reporting / Communications
- Interact with other departments (i.e. Distribution / Demand Planning / Finance / QA & Product Development teams in HK/UK/Australia) to ensure operations go smoothly
- Help to keep and update shipment and inventory records
- Conduct needful reports on regular basis
- Assist in maintaining scorecard data to monitor and optimize suppliers’ performance on an on-going basis
- Supply Chain Development
- Analyze freight costs comparing amongst different forwarding and courier services providers, in order to help with the best and most economical selection of freight forwarders
- Assist in driving continuous improvement by analyzing current processes (SOP & WI inclusive) and implementing refined and new methodologies, tools and techniques to reduce effort and improve results
Essential skills include:
- Proven experience of working in commercial and Supply Chain environment
- Good communication skills (both written and interpersonal)
- Good command of spoken & written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills and good at other Microsoft Office Applications
- Good knowledge of Microsoft/Outlook 365
- Adaptable, embracing and supportive to change
- Ability of multitasking, prioritizing and working with deadlines
- Organized and planned approach to work, attention for details
- Pro-active, problem solving / “Can do” attitude
Education/qualifications and experience:
- Certificate / Diploma / High Diploma / Bachelor degree
- Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience, preferably in eyewear industry
