The opportunity:

The Investment Solutions Team is responsible for reviewing and monitoring AIA Australia’s investment strategies as well as unit pricing, investment supplier management and performance reporting for AIA Australia.

In this critical role, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and developing investment strategies for AIA Australia to deliver superior performance and risk-adjusted performance for policyholders and the shareholder. This is a fixed term contract role until the end of April 2022 that is located in Sydney. 

To do this successfully you will be involved with some of the following:

• Reviewing and developing investment strategies covering SAA, asset class strategies and managers

• Preparing and presenting investment strategy recommendations to committees

• Having day-to-day responsibility for the oversight (including monitoring performance and Key Risk Indicators) and review of designated asset classes and managers

• Developing and reviewing TAA recommendations

• Negotiating and developing investment mandates with managers

• Preparing investment material for and presenting to dealer groups and research houses

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualification in a Finance/Economics/Accounting/Statistics/Mathematics/Actuarial degree

• Investment related postgraduate and/or professional qualification

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, including coordinating input from a number of contributors

• Experience reviewing investment strategies for insurance companies, pension funds or superannuation funds covering SAA, TAA, asset class strategies and/or managers

• Highly computer literate with strong numeracy and Excel skills

• Good knowledge of investment structures, arrangements and strategy implementations

• Experience developing TAA recommendations desirable

• Experience developing liability driven investment solutions desirable
