Senior IoT Engineer A rare opportunity has become available to join our award-winning Lighthouse team in Siemens Digital Industries. Read on… In this role you will: • Design - Lead IoT solution design reviews. Choose suitable hardware to deliver. Estimate time requirements • Test – Lead off site acceptance testing ready for on-site deployment. Document successful testing and gain customer signoff • Implement – Lead on site deployment of hardware and software systems to enable data acquisition and transmission to the cloud. • Manage - Maintenance troubleshooting and system uptime. Take active ownership of solutions in the field to ensure high data quality at all times • Cloud – Asset creation and management in Siemens IoT platform, MindSphere • Technical Customer Management – Responsibility for customer relationships related to project delivery. • Mentoring – Coaching and guidance of Junior IoT Engineers • Development - Opportunity to define globally applicable technical architectures for the roll out of IoT Solutions We are looking for super minds, not superheroes Do you have… • Knowledge of automation systems and communication technologies. Including hardware and software. • Experience of commissioning systems on customer sites • Knowledge of fieldbus open communication protocols, both Ethernet and Serial (OPC UA, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus etc) • Electrical competence and experience of testing and diagnosing faults. • Experience of using low code tools and deploying or developing in cloud environments • Maintains up to date knowledge of technologies and utilises this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutions • Driving Licence essential We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
