We are currently seeking a Senior JAVA Architect to join our Commercial Operations Center of Excellence (COCOE) team. The candidate will be based at any Eaton US Facility. Our AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) platform consists of a well-established team of engineers that focus on delivering meaningful digital experiences. As we continue to build on our capabilities in this space, we are looking to expand our Adobe skillset to support our global marketing teams that use Adobe Experience Manager to engage their end customers. The Senior JAVA Architect provides high-quality code solutions to meet digital commerce and marketing needs in the implementation, enhancement, and support phase of project-based technology implementations. This Senior Architect shapes and supports technical design strategy, estimates effort, and confidently executes and delivers on projects. Champions AEM internally, establishes standard methodologies, and plays an integral role on a growing team that is focused on delivering business value. Key responsibilities: Plan for future-state technology portfolios and IT program investments Develop, communicate, and deploy architecture governance processes Drive the application of emerging technologies to current Eaton environments Drive solution architecture, ensure technical alignment and facilitate technical solution delivery Accountable for maintaining high levels of solution performance, availability and capacity, demonstrating a commitment to quality Works within Eaton's IT Organization to successfully influence the direction of key technical elements of the solution environment Participation within Strategic Planning process Design and provide solutions to fit the requirements of the project stakeholders, customers, and end users conforming to the standards established by the IT organization Review and critique the solutions of others Assess and direct IT project activities to ensure compliance with established IT and industry standards Specific Duties: Advanced technical skills along with mentorship, coaching, development Prototype and framework development Definition of design and development standards for solutions platforms and peripheral applications Champion solution flexibility, reuse and legacy-application retirement Development of proactive monitoring solutions for all solution elements Event correlation across solution elements, including analysis and resolution Incident analysis, documentation and resolution Capacity planning End-user support and communication Platform challenges, direction and roadmap Solution concept design and estimation Inter-team and intra-team communication Commitment to knowledge sharing Management of distinct project segments Design solutions to fit the business requirements Conduct design reviews and architecture assessments to ensure compliance to IT standards Develop Application Roadmaps Lead Application Domain team(s), driving development and updates for Standards and Patterns Key Participant and Facilitator for BPI activities Consult with other Solution / Project Architects to develop and share business area/platform strategy Develop standards for new technologies, including decision criteria for when to employ new technologies vs. existing May participate in the selection, and may direct the activities of a group of developers who are implementing approved designs When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $118,000 - $162,250 a year, with flexibility based on experience and skill level. Qualifications Basic (Minimum) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution is required. Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT in multiple technology platforms Minimum 5 years of expertise designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining large web sites and applications 5 years of experience of successfully delivering on all aspects of a technology project Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Additional language capabilities are a plus Requires the ability to work on multiple projects of varying scope and scale Requires the ability to handle ambiguous situations and execute upon a direction Experience with caching environment strategies and content delivery networks, i.e. Varnish and Akamai Experience integrating with enterprise search systems, i.e. Endeca or ElasticSearch Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, Eclipse Experience with application integration technologies such as JSON, RESTful / SOAP Web services and XML Experience with SDLC tools including Git, BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Selenium, and Nexus/Artifactory Experience with application server / web server / OS / database understanding (primarily Apache, Unix/Linux, Oracle DB). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with an enterprise content management system, Adobe AEM 6.x is preferred Provides guidance to business and development teams on AEM best practices and implementation Design and implement solutions leveraging Adobe AEM. Translate complex business requirements into AEM specific solutions. Leverage AEM, other content technologies and integration patterns to solve cross-departmental challenges. Drive project scope and timeline, Design and improve internal development methodologies around Adobe AEM solution. Experience with the following technologies and integrations is preferred, i.e. Okta, Eloqua, Translation T.com/GLA, Adobe Dynamic Media, Brightcove, and Bullseye Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target, Multi-Site Manager, Blueprint, and Language copy Expertise in writing code with both JSP overlay and Sightly components. Experience in writing custom services and configuring services with OSGI bundles Knowledge of presentation-layer technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ECMAScript 6 +), AJAX, Angular, JQuery, XML, and responsive web design/development. Knowledge of CRX and Apache Sling, Targeting, various AEM components like MSM, Mobile, I18N, Tagging, Translation, Search etc. is plus. Thorough understanding of AEM Security model with understanding of SSO. Experience and working knowledge of related disciplines such as Information Architecture, Solution Architecture Knowledge of DevOps and utilization of Docker and OpenShift Knowledge of AEM as a Cloud Service Exposure to Adaptive Forms, Informatica, and PDH/PIM nodes.
