Eaton is looking for a Senior Lawyer based in our Valinhos - SP site to join our team. He/She will be responsible for: Lead the contracts team in the drafting and analysis of contracts or other documents with legal or commercial content, involving the Eaton entities in South and Central America, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, as applicable, and in all other actions resulting from the contracts routine. Be responsible for all aspects associated with the management of the Contract Lifecycle Management – CLM tool. Participate in negotiation of simple and complex customer and supplier contracts, participate in projects, prepare and conduct training sessions, assist the business in definition of strategies, implement improvements, train law students to assist with contract reviews. Review, analyze and interpret contractual terms for transactions ranging from the purchase or sale of goods to complex, multi-million dollar design, build projects in strategic global market segments; Create innovative approaches for handling transactions by balancing the opportunities and risks created for various functional teams, sound judgment and creative and practical contractual guidance all while adhering to Eaton’s limits of authority approval policies; Manage a wide range of contract negotiations of varying complexity simultaneously while engaging other key functions to coordinate and align on strategy and approach such as Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Credit, Sales, Trade Compliance and other Specialty Practice Groups (SPGs) within the Law Team; Leverage communication skills, ability to manage expectations, and organizational capability to deliver creative solutions to both our internal and external customers on legal and/or commercial issues encountered in the review, negotiation, or performance of a contract. “When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger.
