Post Specification
Applicant should have (i) a higher degree, at least at MPhil level or above, in Chinese language and literature or a related field; (ii) proven record of teaching excellence at tertiary level; (iii) a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship; (iv) excellent communication skills in Putonghua and a good command of written and spoken English.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) teaching University Chinese for all undergraduates, and possibly also other undergraduate courses related to Chinese culture within the University General Education Programme; (b) designing e-learning materials; and (c) assisting in curriculum development and administrative assignments.
The appointee is expected to commence work in the academic year 2019-20.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK(SZ) and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable to the PRC. The appointee will be based in Shenzhen, China.
