Post Specification

The School of Humanities and Social Science at CUHK(SZ) invites application for faculty position in translation and interpreting studies and/or simultaneous Interpreting at the Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer level. 

Applicant should have (i) a Master's degree or above in T&I studies; (ii) proven record of teaching excellence and (iii) professional experience in language service provision. 

The appointee will be responsible for (a) teaching courses as prescribed in the programme curricular; (b) developing cooperative relations with language service industries; and (c) assisting in curriculum development and administrative assignments. 

The appointee is expected to commence work in the academic year 2019-20. 

Salary and Fringe Benefits 

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK, Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable to the PRC. The appointee will be based in Shenzhen, China.
