We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel for the Legal team in Australia. As Legal Counsel you will provide business-oriented solutions and legal and risk advice in Australia and New Zealand, to facilitate the achievement of business goals and objectives. Advise on contractual questions, structuring of complex projects and project delivery related issues, including drafting, reviewing and negotiation a range of contract and project documents, legal documents and providing transactional support on key deals and projects, in order to mitigate risk exposures to Siemens. You will provide general corporate legal advice, design and from time to time deliver legal issue related training. You will also be required to structure new business models in the software and cloud environment, manage litigations, disputes and claim management processes and manage company secretarial work. Participate actively in the development of cross border collaboration of the Siemens Legal team of Australia and the ASEAN region, structure and support M&A transactions and internal reorganizations. The role will report to the Australian CEO, with a reporting line to the General Counsel of Siemens ASEAN and Australia for all major legal issues. In order to be successful in this role it is likely that you will have: • Possess Degree in Law with at least 7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) from a leading law firm and/or international company; • Have a current Australian Practicing Certificate • Experience with front end sales, contract management, M&A transactions, internal reorganizations, corporate governance, company secretarial work and corporate law • Experience in IT/digital and software projects is an advantage; • Strong affinity to legal tech applications and readiness to implement, apply and improve such applications; • Robust personality with high levels of energy and drive; • Good analytical and drafting skills, organized and committed to deadlines • Self-motivated, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment • Adaptable and commercially minded team player with a collegial personality • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills • Open to “future of work” models; If you are a dynamic professional looking for a new challenge with a global technology leader, then this role is the perfect next step in your career.
