Senior Leisure Attendant
First impressions are everything! As Senior Leisure Attendant you will oversee the Leisure team with the focus of ensuring that the Spa, Gym and Pool areas are maintained to a high level.

What you will be doing:

• Above all, taking accountability for the upkeep of the Leisure facilities, and all health and safety related aspects of the pool plant room.
• Reporting directly to, and liasing with the Leisure Manager or Spa Manager on a daily basis to achieve the highest standards around the Leisure facility as a whole.
• Implementing and monitoring daily checklists to maximise productivity of the Leisure team while on duty.
• Providing in-house training for all new members of the Leisure team, resulting in a fully competent team member who is able to work unsupervised when necessary, and who understands the roles and importance of their position.
• Updating all Leisure staff training records as necessary, and planning quarterly refresher training sessions with existing staff members.
• Taking responsibility for pool and Jacuzzi test results, performing thorough checks on all records while on shift, as well as following rest days and periods of annual leave.
• Submitting E-Heart-To-Heart forms for any team members who perform well on a regular basis, or go above and beyond expectations.
• Discussing any notable drops in performance levels with Leisure team members in order to improve their efforts, and also communicating these to a member of Spa management.
• Maintaining non-frequent upkeep of the facilities, such as de-scaling of the steam room generator and removal of the sauna benches for cleaning purposes.
• Performing weekly maintenance checks to all facility fittings and machinery (e.g. lighting, lockers, gym equipment functionality, pool floor area and tiling).
• Ensuring the pool Dolphin cleaner vacuum is utilised and maintained on a regular basis.
• Becoming familiar with the membership software system to monitor business levels in advance to plan accordingly for peak times.
• Send out monthly email reminders in advance to notify members that their membership expiry dates are approaching.
• Completing weekly stock checks and communicating with the Spa management team in advance when any particular item is in short supply.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the Gym
• Assist Members/Guests with use of Sauna, Steam room and Jacuzzi
• Ensure stocking of all spa amenities and toiletries
• Regular Pool and Jacuzzi tests are carried out to ensure the facilities are safe for our guests
• May be held responsible for opening or closing the Spa facilities on occasion
• Ensuring all operating equipment are in working order and report any broken equipment to your manager
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Strong leadership skills
• Service focused personality is essential
• Previous experience of working in a pool plant room environment is essential
• Prior experience working within a Gym/Spa environment in an asset
• Fluency in English

Your team and working environment:

• Supervising the Leisure team and fitness instructors in a team environment.
