About the Role:
The Sr. Localization Lead is responsible for leading the technical part of localization projects by performing and coordinating the engineering work, coordinating the deliveries from the suppliers, leading the project engineers and defining tools and technical processes.
Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with the project manager on the technical preparation of the project, its execution and final evaluation
- Coordinate the project engineers, assign tasks to engineers and monitor tasks status and the performance of engineers
- Assure the engineering work is being performed correctly, according to the project instructions, per deadlines and quality requirements
- Analyze and track project tasks and deliverables
- Coordinate the deliveries from the suppliers and monitor their status
- Suggest and implement project engineering workflow and tools
- Participate in the implementation of new tools, their testing and evaluation
- Under the supervision of Project Manager or Localization Lead/Senior Localization Lead, directly communicate with project team, support departments, partners and clients
- Cooperate with the Project Manager on engineering resources planning, status reporting and solving project issues
- Ensure final quality checks are performed before delivery to the client
- Identify risks and inefficiencies in engineering processes and suggest solutions
- Prepare training materials and sessions
Requirements:
- University school degree with a focus in IT, Computers, SW Development or Web Authoring is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Previous work experience in a similar role is required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT
- Client-facing communication experience
- Team/supplier coordination experience
- Experience coordinating/leading a small team of 2-3 people
- Advanced knowledge of major operating environments
- Advanced knowledge of file formats and file management
- Advanced computer applications user
- Advanced knowledge of localization tools and processes
- Basic programming skills (scripts), an advantage
- Motivated leader with a mature and positive attitude, reliable, well organized personality
- Ability to analyze and assess the business impact of different process and tool changes
- Ability to communicate information to internal team, partners and customers
- Advanced technical solution and problem-solving skills
