Essential Responsibilities:
Gas Power –Logistics seeks a strong energetic strategic team leader to manage the region portfolio of logistics projects to achieve the lowest optimized delivered cost & cycle, while balancing business and customer needs. The right candidate will implement strategies to reduce / eliminate LD exposure, ensure delivery to contract via optimal delivery cycles, by actively managing levers at key milestones from OTR handoff to contract delivery term. They will be a critical point of contact for the region for all logistics escalation. They will lead and continue to build out a diverse team that will work across the global organization organization working closely with region leaders to deliver results in an uncertain world. They will be further accountable to harmonize the regional processes through strong integration principles, where the disperse regional team will act as one. This is a fast-paced job with many variables in which you will be constantly reviewing and working with the team to ensure all project delivery needs are met.

- Work cross-functionally to mitigate standard cycles to meet customer / contract needs dates for on-time delivery as well hit key delivery windows to reduce transportation costs.
- Work with other leaders in the global logistics team to monitor "early warning" identification of potential issues.
- Show organizational leadership and ownership of key logistics metrics and lead additional operational activities, as needed
- Primary interface with the business teams for developing and managing logistics plans for various projects in the Projects organization
- Principal lead for managing the hand-off of project logistics plans for global project equipment to the Logistics Sourcing team.
- Accountable to deliver on the levers that support the quarterly cash / margin plan.
- Own the regions portfolio logistics budgets as well as Estimate at Completion variances. and deliver on opportunities within the portfolio both, cycle and margin.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure planning and execution of logistics that supports on-time delivery and lowest optimized cost of equipment to our customers.
- Prepare and review portfolio logistics budgets as well as Estimate at Completion variances.
- Present to business leadership strategies and execution plans to drive operational goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must bring high energy with strong leader skills and ability to be a change agent
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 4 years industry experience
- Minimum 4 years Logistics / Planning / Leadership experience
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Proven experience working with diverse, global teams.
- Ability to coordinate and lead in a matrix environment.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Experience in developing business level summaries.
Desired Characteristics:
- Advanced degree in Master Business Administration or PMP certification.
- Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize large quantities of data into key messages.
- Ability to learn and use key systems / tools
- Previous experience in GE Power.
