Job Description

Automation simplifies the ways of working and innovation brings success to the business. The Product Owner (PO) is a member of Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team. Product Owner serves as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders—including other POs—to define and prioritize stories in the team backlog. The product owner is responsible to facilitate Product Management meetings for planning and Program Backlog/Vision refinement. The product owner will be responsible for bridging AF & COE results.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Solution, Technology & team facing. Collocated with teams
  • Contributes to Vision & product backlog. Owns team backlog & Implementation
  • Establish story acceptance criteria, accept stories into the baseline
  • Define the product backlog and create actionable user stories for the development teams.
  • Groom and prioritize the work in the product backlog
  • Accept the completed user stories to make sure the work fulfils the criteria
  • Clearly express the product backlog items
  • Show the scrum team what to work on next
  • Manages the stakeholder requirements & represent the users of the system
  • Sets the goal for each sprint
  • Promote continuous improvement methods
  • Coach & mentor stakeholders on agile scrum practices
  • Should have good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as in teams
  • Work closely with other teams to help discover and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing process automation
  • Basic Knowledge of Infra Structure concepts
  • Good knowledge on Continuous Integration, Automation and Configuration
  • Work closely with Infra teams to help discover and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing process automation
  • Establish a strong working relationship between AF & COE results.
  • Collaborate with teams and meet expected service levels and outstanding user experience.

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent or achievement of recognized professional level
  • Passion towards work
  • Agile, cloud and DevOps
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication and Influencing skills
  • Customer to product translator
  • Maximizing Product Value
  • Timeline, milestone planning and project management experience
  • Experience creating and delivering executive-level presentations

Desirable

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in a global organization where stakeholders and project team members are geographically dispersed.

  • Working effectively and cross-functionally across the organization, earning trust and building relationships throughout
