Major responsibilities

You will conduct targeted, effective and efficient R&D-related strategic planning by sourcing, synthesizing, summarizing, and providing key analyses that enable informed decisions that affect the overall AZ China Therapeutic Area strategy, early-stage clinical development strategy, digital solutions, and matching capability/ structure establishment. You will provide objective information and insights using data and analytical techniques that support AZ China R&D cross-functional teams, including Clinical Science, Project Management, Early-stage Development, Digital & Data, China Commercial, and Global R&D team.

• R&D Strategy Synthesis & Shaping:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment for TA/ indication(s) to support further new asset-related tasks
  • Conduct product/ tech-related analogue analyses, benchmarking, market research, and market dynamics projection
  • Establish comprehensive China pharmaceutical industry deep-dive knowledge dashboard to support
    AZ China R&D strategy-generation
  • Supply insights to product development project team and Global R&D from LCM perspectives
• Exploration of Digital Solution in Clinical Development:
  • Drive the development and shaping of R&D China digital solutions to support AZ clinical development for innovative assets
  • Lead deep-dive investigation of China digital market dynamics regarding to clinical part
  • Drive external & internal partner evaluation to explore and generate efficient collaboration for R&D China digital solution implementation
• Competitive Intelligence and Data Analysis:
  • Establish China R&D competitive intelligence system complementing Global CI
  • Track and update competitive intelligence on a regular basis
  • Lead and support market analysis on key TA from desk research
  • Synthesize information for insight generation
  • Integrate research/ clinical data to support strategy synthesis and shaping
• Market Research Project Management:
  • Lead and support refining market research methodology for internal business needs
  • Work with vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables
