Main objectives of the position:
•Be responsible for driving long term business growth of Daimler Truck business in China market via leading business development and closely collaborating with China local business partners for pushing forward the implementation of Daimler truck related projects;
•Leading the business conversation and coordination about business development and further cooperation projects between Daimler and China local business partners;
•Leading the consolidation work of cross-functions analysis reports about China commercial vehicle markets and China local business partners , be responsible for working on the strategic overview report to support Truck China top management for decision-making;
•Build up solid business cooperation and maintain smooth business relationship for set up a good foundation of further business successes in China commercial vehicle market
Key tasks:
•Be responsible for the development of business cooperation strategy and implementation plan for joint projects between Daimler and China local partners: -Business strategy development with management alignment and directions -Overall planning on strategic projects on company level
-New business development to extend business sustainability and cooperation scope
-Explore the potential areas for business development between Daimler and partners
•To drive and steer projects development and implementation between Daimler and local business partners;
-Set up strategic projects to support business growth
-Project planning, implementation and steering
-Market analysis, Feasibility study, business concept and business model development etc.
-Project management progress and quality control
-Project status update to key stakeholders
•Leading the collaboration and communication with key stakeholders of both internal & external:
-Collaboration and communication with Daimler across functions, business partners or JV
-Align & coordinate resources across Daimler Truck functional departments, or from JV when necessary
-Regular alignment with management team of key stakeholders on project status update and escalation
•Be responsible for making evaluation and report on business partners’ capability and potential cooperation with Daimler :
-Business performance tracking
-Monitoring partners’ middle and long-term business strategies
-Competency analysis
-S.W.O.T analysis and reporting
•On behalf of Daimler, opening up professional conversations with China local partners:
-leading the business development discussion
-driving the direction of business negotiation
-pushing forward to a win-win solution, securing the interest of Daimler, as well; •Build up solid business cooperation and maintain smooth business relationship between Daimler and China local business partners
Education:
•MBA or master degree in business or finance areas
Experience:
•5-10 years working experiences in strategy/planning/business development/business consulting
•More than 5 years working experience on management position, prefer in business development dept. of international companies
•Familiar with strategic planning and project management, broad perspectives of different areas of the business.
•Strong problem solving skills with excellent analytical and business modeling development skills
•Outstanding project management skills with ability to engage effectively with different teams and functions and multi-tasks
•Rich experience in cross functional projects, with strong verbal and written communications skills, particularly with the ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders
•Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities
•Good understanding various cultures, & sensitive interpretation in various business communication.
•Strong analytical and structural skills with a good business sense and entrepreneurial attitude
Special knowledge:
•Excellent English and Chinese in oral speaking and writing
•Excellent skill level on PPT, Excel, Viso, Project etc.
