This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Reporting to General Manager, Capital Works Construction, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineering professionals and assisting the senior management to ensure the airport development projects are planned and delivered on schedule to meet the Authority's target. He / She will have delegated authority to assist General Manager, Capital Works Construction on designated projects as required, and is responsible for the delegated contractual duties and the initiation of necessary documents to obtain financial approvals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain effective and efficient project management of civil / structural engineering and building works, including overall project planning, as well as financial aspects of the relevant works

• Lead the design consultants and construction contractors to ensure that design, programme and budget requirements are met

• Ensure that project requirements are incorporated effectively into detailed design cost, works contract drawings and specifications

• Work in close liaison and coordination with various stakeholders to identify constraints

• Participate in the design process and provide appropriate engineering supports during the implementation phase of the design and construction until commissioning

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Civil / Structural Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 15 years’ relevant experience, of which minimum 10 years in project management role is necessary

• Professional qualification of relevant disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies

• Solid hands-on experience in the management of civil / structural and building design, planning, construction and site supervisory works of large scale multi-disciplinary construction projects.

• Experience in statutory requirements and administrative procedures

• Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills

• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software tools

• Holder of a valid Hong Kong driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred
