Responsibilities:
- To oversee the community development work in Yau Tsim Mong and other districts as assigned, and work with other teams in the community works in various districts
- To assist in the formulation of community development strategies to foster local community’s awareness, understanding and support for the Authority’s mission and works, and facilitating the implementation of urban renewal projects and initiatives
- To supervise community development teams to prepare and execute work programmes and action plans under the endorsed strategies
- To negotiate with Government departments, conduct community promotional engagement activities and collect local intelligence
- To establish networks and build up rapport with stakeholders to facilitate the communication between them and the Authority, including to act as a contact point for external stakeholders, especially for local political heavyweights, to channel comments related to urban renewal projects and initiatives to the Management with proposed mitigation measures
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Public Administration or related fields
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in dealing with local community members from all walks of lives
- Solid experience in data/intelligence analysis and supervising the implementation of operation and engagement plans
- Strong network and knowledge with local stakeholders, including District Councilors, NGOs and concern groups
- Knowledge of the work of URA would be an advantage
- Strong in networking and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
