The appointee will handle fundraising work of the University. Specifically, s/he will: (i) develop cultivation and solicitation strategies with the President, Vice-President for Institutional Advancement and Development Director for a portfolio of mega and major prospects and donors; (ii) build and maintain positive relationships with prospective prospects and donors; and participate in the solicitation as appropriate; (iii) formulate and implement fundraising strategies to promote donor engagement and new initiatives by working closely with internal stakeholders including deans, faculty and relevant colleagues; coordinate with internal stakeholders to consult on the University’s needs; and (v) evaluate different gift opportunities and giving vehicles and recommend the most suitable for a particular donor. The appointee will also be required to provide guidance and support to other forms of fundraising (e.g. corporate, alumni) if necessary.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of work experience, preferably in fundraising in tertiary institutions. S/he should have a high level of proficiency in English and Chinese including Putonghua, and possess strong communication and facilitation skills.  Ideal candidates should be creative, proactive with startup mindset and multi-task oriented.  Applicants should also be a good team player, knowledgeable and professional in fundraising practices with quality assurance. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
