Objective of job
• As one very important data source of the future Drive Assistance system, digital map in the vehicle will face revolutionizing challenges in many aspects. How to ensure the quality of digital map to meet the high requirement of accuracy from the safety relevant system will be one central part of the challenges. The general conception of quality insurance for digital HAD map is taken over by Daimler RD Headquarter in Germany in close cooperation with the global partners. Specific local development is expected due to the different map supplier for China. Focus of this position is to lead the HAD Map team to deliver the result with the global autonomous driving project.

Task description
• Lead internal team members and external development partner to deliver result in time and with quality.
• Provide necessary coaching appropriately to the needs of individual employees
• Handling escalation from internal/external and resolve efficiently.
• Report and synchronize the projects and team status to the direct supervisor.
• Escalate and communicate existing issues to upper level for
• Budget planning for HAD Map team and on-going projects.
• Maintain working relationships with technical stakeholders in Germany and other HUBs, RD C/AR team from RD China to get whole autonomous driving projects.
• Align with local suppliers to define all the HAD Map specifics with China specific contents. Ensure map data provided by map supplier in correct format. Ensure safety implementations on map supplier side according RUSI, ensure map learning approaches with the supplier in order to keep the map fresh. Ensure safety implementations on map for the download of the map and the upload of the sensor data.
