This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

The incumbent will lead a team of engineering professional and assist senior management in ensuring that both the medium and long-term development projects are planned and delivered on schedule to meet the Authority's target. S/he will have delegated authority to assist General Manager, Systems on designated projects as required and is responsible for the delegated contractual duties and the initiation of necessary documentation to obtain financial approvals.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring effective and efficient project management of electrical and mechanical / building services engineering works, including overall project planning; as well as financial aspects of relevant works;
• Leading the design consultants and construction contractors to ensure that programme and budget requirement are met;
• Ensuring that project requirements are incorporated effectively into detailed design cost, works contract drawings and specifications;
• Close liaison and coordination with various stakeholders to identify constraints; and
• Participation in the design process and providing appropriate engineering supports during the implementation phase of the design and construction until commissioning.

Requirements:       

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related disciplines
• Member of HKIE or other equivalent professional bodies
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience, of which minimum of 8 years should be in project management
• Solid proven hands-on experience in project management of major multi-discipline infrastructure / building E&M system design, planning, construction and site supervisory works
• Experience in the design and construction supervision of airport E&M works preferred
• Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
• Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications and project management software tools
