Job Description

The appointee will play a key role in the Complaints and Investigation Department responsible for leading a team to handle MPF trustee-related complaints, including fact-finding and liaison with complainants. He/she will perform such duties as:

The Job

  • Lead and manage a team to ensure proper handling of complaints in relation to MPF trustees, service providers and MPF products, as well as to take prompt follow-up actions to address issues raised by complainants;
  • Identify potential issues of and possible non-compliance with the MPF legislation by MPF trustees and service providers based on findings and feedback obtained from complaint cases and recommend appropriate actions to be taken;
  • Assist in mapping out strategies and policies to facilitate investigation and complaints handling relating to MPF trustees and its service providers;
  • Analyze and report first-hand information and feedback regarding the trend of complaints against MPF trustees and service providers;
  • Monitor and review the efficiency and effectiveness of the operational systems and processes, and identify areas and implement changes for enhancements; and
  • Coach and develop the team members to strengthen staff capabilities and performance; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably in economics, finance, accounting or business administration, or equivalent;
  • At least ten years of relevant experience in trust business or management of pension / retirement schemes, compliance, insurance, investment / banking or accounting / auditing, with hands-on experience in complaints handling, of which at least four years should be at Manager level or equivalent;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills;
  • Strong leadership, ability to work under pressure independently, with strong business acumen as well as a sense of mission; and
  • Mature, flexible, open-minded and a good team player.

 

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
