Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager Engineering who will lead a team of process engineers dedicated to the JAPAC region, and act as the technical expert lead for combination products to the Amgen partner commercial and clinical operation sites within this region.

The Senior Manager Engineering position reports into the Director of Engineering under Combination Product Operations (CPO) Commercial Advancement.

Your key responsibilities will be to lead the tech transfer of products between Amgen and contract manufacturing sites in this region as well as leading the design for manufacturability of all Amgen combination products. Within this role you will build a network of final drug product and device expertise across the Amgen commercial and clinical operations for product assembly, label and packaging. Experience of working with combination products and leading a virtual team are desirable for this position.

What are your main responsibilities:

• Manage, develop and coach direct reports and ensure performance evaluation;

• Establish a long, mid and short-term planning for the team and it’s resources;

• Provide monthly reports covering overall departmental status, key issues and performance KPI’s;;

• Participate in industry/authority benchmark activities to ensure that AMGEN’s technological / process positioning is adequate;

• Support technical & impact assessments for regional business case development;

• Ensure Compliance with current GMP and regulatory expectations;

• Ensure appropriate GMP documentation is established and adhered to;

• Collaborate with Amgen QA and Regulatory Affairs to ensure GMP and Regulation compliance of equipment and processes.

Doctorate degree and 2 years of engineering experience

Or

Master’s degree and 6 years of engineering experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of engineering experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of engineering experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of engineering experience

And

2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4 year degree

• Typically, 8+ years of related professional experience;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;

• Consistent track record of leading and carrying out multi-functional projects;

• Strong collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Direct experience with the manufacturing process for devices, combination products and label/packaging operations

• Ability to work in a highly regulated and ever-changing industry

• Ability to learn and rapidly adapt to new requirements in a fast-moving environment
