Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Manager – Environmental Remediation to join our EHS Corporate team. This position can be based at any US remote home office. Our Senior Manager will provide overall management and direction for an environmental remediation portfolio of over 113 sites with a current reserve of $70 million. Reserve management requires a clear understanding of the reserves financial ground rules, and the need to budget and plan for the unknowns and variances in the project. Additionally, provide strategic direction of the global environmental remediation program setting long term goals, identifying project prioritization, driving program changes and effectiveness. Essential Functions: Develop project scopes and dynamic strategies, and perform or oversee associated cost estimating, subcontractor selection, and agency approvals for action or no further action Drive utilization of state-of-the-art technologies to ensure prompt and effective remedial closures Ensure that projects are managed in accordance with Eaton policies for safety and drive compliance assurance and Eaton governance expectations for all remedial projects, including thru the remedial contracting team Setting a corporate budget from $7M to $15M within the profit plan year to address, new projects, changes and project scope, regulatory changes and project spend within specific projects that fall outside the ground rules. Manage Corporate monthly forecast of spending and profit plan budget and direct management reserves and expenses Manage review, approval, and payment of monthly invoices ($900k to $1MM+) Review existing project spend trends and determine whether existing reserves models accurately predict spending trends following the CORE ground rules for setting reserves. Lead in quarterly project reserves reviews and reserves modeling in cooperation with Legal, Finance, and external project managers Provide technical information in support of litigation or insurance recovery actions. Support all acquisition, integration and divestiture activity through assessment and reserve setting to account for remediation risks Support all business evaluation to provide and advise on environmental risks associated with business moves and closures When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Master’s degree or documented equivalent experience in relevant science field (e.g. Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering). 10 years managing remediation projects Position Criteria: Knowledge of current and emerging technical approaches for soil and groundwater remediation; statistical modeling Self-Driven and must be able to manage project portfolio budgets, understand reserves, and lead external teams to achieve successful closure of reserve projects Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. Since this role can be based in any US location, Eaton recognizes compensation requirements may be higher or lower in some geographies and will adjust the range accordingly. The annual salary range for this role is $149,600-205,700. Eligible for a performance-based incentive bonus with a target at 24% of base.
