Our location in Abbott Park, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Executive Recruitment.

Abbott is seeking an accomplished executive recruiter and people manager to join Global Talent Acquisition and lead the team owning U.S. executive recruitment and pipeline generation. This role and its team build the U.S. top leadership bench across all business functions that drive the performance of every division from Medical Devices and Rapid Diagnostics to Core Diagnostics and Nutrition.

This Sr. Manager must be smart, resourceful and hard-working and somebody who thrives in a high-stakes, fast-paced and detail-oriented environment. Overall this individual will lead management of the team of executive recruiters, partnerships with TA divisional leaders, partnerships with Business HR, partnerships with executives and Corporate Officers, and diversity recruitment strategies.

A person successful in this position will have considerable opportunity to advance across roles in Global Talent Acquisition.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Directly manage a team of executive recruiters and sourcers (day-to-day operation, goal setting and achievement, strategy and planning, etc.)
  • Partner with hiring leaders to recommend recruitment strategies, recruit on key leadership roles, and drive executive recruiter performance 
  • Coach executive recruiters to create and maintain strong relationships, working as a true partner and consultant with internal customers
  • Identify proactive and creative recruiting strategies for candidate pipeline channels and diverse candidate slates
  • Ensure metrics, dashboards and insights are leveraged to inform TA strategies and to ensure ongoing performance
  • Create and implement processes and practices within the business functions based on global strategic direction
  • Complete performance audits that evaluate candidate experience, hiring leader satisfaction and recruiter proficiency
  • Review effectiveness for all methodologies utilized in identifying and acquiring talent and recommend changes to drive improved results
  • Ensure team aligns processes to CRM capabilities and conducts high level of utilization
  • Help analyze/assess new technologies and build capabilities via systems
  • Work on global projects to drive future TA initiatives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate recruitment and/or related executive search experience
  • 2+ years of people management in corporate recruitment or executive search firm strongly preferred
  • Recruitment experience in business functions such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Technology, and/or Regulatory
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and identify recruiting strategies to effectively meet business needs
  • Strong executive presence and proven track record interacting with senior leadership
  • Excellent data tracking, analysis and report generation, to include the ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way to drive strategy
  • Project management experience, including complex situations involving multiple stakeholder parties
  • Knowledge of current and progressive sourcing and staffing strategies, especially related to diversity recruitment
  • Knowledge/understanding of compliance requirements for employment law, staffing and staffing systems
