Job Description

The Job

Reporting to General Manager (External Affairs), the appointee will assist in formulating and implementing various stakeholder engagement strategies and deliverables for the MPF System and the MPFA. The main duties include:

  • To formulate and implement various stakeholder engagement strategies;

  • To plan and roll out stakeholder engagement exercises of different types like consultations on new initiatives;

  • To assist and coordinate the public engagement of Senior Management of the Authority;

  • To assist in exploring untapped stakeholders for broadening the stakeholder engagement coverage;

  • To supervise team members to formulate and execute various stakeholder programmes, including organizing activities with District Council Members, special cohorts like casual employees and self-employed persons, etc. to ensure the quality and timeliness of various deliverables and programmes;

  • To assist in planning and coordinating the communication of messages with various stakeholders on the established database;

  • To give talks and briefings to various stakeholders; and

  • To assist in various stakeholders-related programmes as assigned.

 

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or equivalent;

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in communications, publicity, marketing, public affairs or related fields, of which at least four years should be at Manager level, preferably gained from sizable corporations or public organizations;

  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and fluency in Putonghua a definite advantage;

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills;

  • Strong persuasive skills, being able to explain complex technical subjects in layman terms or drive buy-in amongst outliers;

  • Strong political acumen and good project management skills; and

  • A good team player and able to work independently and under pressure and tight deadlines.

 

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
