What will I be doing?

The Senior Manager, Finance Controls & Compliance, GCM Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) is the key Business Partner for GCM Finance Shared Service Center. This person is expected to work closely with GCM FSSC team and APAC/GCM Compliance team to ensure GCM FSSC are SOX compliances, also lead GCM FSSC compliance, build up and maintain strong internal control environment.

• Participate in FSSC related Policies and SOPs set up/update

• Coordinate with FSSC to ensure the processes performed on behalf the hotels have adequate controls in place;

interaction may include data requests, control assessments and best practice sharing

• Enhance the tools for FSSC Controls Self-Assessment and Controls Peer Assessment

• Provide ongoing support to FSSC team by compliance trainings, enhance compliance tools and templates,

monitor FSSC implementation of policies and SOPs

• Conduct independent and objective assessments of internal controls, financial results, hotel operations, and

compliance requirements; this may include verification of management fee calculations and lease charges and

balance sheet reconciliations

• Facilitate follow up on management action plans post internal audit or other reviews

• Develop standard compliance and controls assessment programs for the properties in FSSC, including the

planning of reviews and following up on deficiencies

• Develop and perform standardized operational reviews of key hotel processes outside of the finance function;

this may include Food and Beverage, Sales, KIT, Property Operations, Front Desk, etc.

• Partner with Internal and External Audit, to maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Hilton

policies and procedure and minimize control deficiencies

• Provide ongoing support to FSSC hotel teams in new hotels by engaging in pre- and post- opening checklist

BSR review processes and performing periodic assessment on compliance status

• Assess and propose opportunities to leadership to enhance the peer review program, with the ultimate goal to

provide transparency into the pulse of the FSSC compliance environment; maintain master schedule of FSSC

peer reviews and results

• Create and facilitate risk assessments to identify FSSC hotels as candidates for peer reviews

• Share best practices across FSSC hotels to include developing and rolling-out tools, templates, and

methodologies

• Possess a knowledge of US GAAP and other regional policies (e.g., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and partner

with Hilton legal and compliance teams on the monitoring of related controls and tracking and mitigation of

identified deficiencies

• Identify common compliance challenges and themes across FSSC hotels, perform root cause analyses, and

facilitate communication and training on proposed solutions

• Maintain open, two-way communication with FSSC teams, provide oversight, and serve as advocate for

compliance support

• Ensure open and clear communication between FSSC finance teams and audit functions

• Work closely with the Internal Control Officer team and GCM Controls & Compliance Committee

• Involve in FSSC fraud case investigation where related

• Provides additional support to FSSC teams when resources are limited or unavailable

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years as hotel Finance Manager/Director of Finance/Assistant Financial Controller, ideally

with Hilton experience

• Able to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English language

• Sound knowledge of SUN, OnQ, SCMCheck, HRLink

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in

writing, including ability to interact at all levels of management

• Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information

• Prior experience of HGI hotel Finance is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Business, Finance or Accounting

• 10 years of progressive experience in finance, controllership, operations roles

• 2 years of management or supervisory experience
