Eaton’s Corporate Finance Technology team is currently seeking a Senior Manager - Finance Technology Program within the Operations Finance & Transformation function. The preferred location for this position is our headquarters in Beachwood, OH, but it can be based at any Eaton location in the US. In this role, you will be joining our Finance Technology team within the Operations Finance & Transformation function. We are catalysts for change -- driving efficiencies, enabling innovation, and developing solutions to help our Eaton finance function deliver critical insights to our operations. As a member of the Finance Technology team, you will be embedded within our finance function to drive increased usage of modern technologies that will complement and enhance our existing financial systems landscape. Eaton is on a multi-year finance functional transformation journey to provide our finance teams with the tools required to do their best and most fulfilling work. Real-time access to clean, reconcilable data and analytics capabilities are key enablers of that roadmap, and the Finance Technology team is driving this change. On this team, you will use your knowledge of a wide variety of finance technologies, along with your digital mindset, to facilitate broader adoption of these leading-edge tools. Your role on this team will be to figure out how to optimize Eaton’s existing technology while also identifying modern technology and architecting innovative solutions. The finance technology program manager oversees the delivery of large, complex finance technology transformation projects. Typically, these large-scale efforts are comprised of large-scale organization changes, software deployments, and business process reengineering across the operations and functions for critical business areas. The finance technology program manager is responsible for the planning, delivery, financial management, change management, and governance for the portfolio of projects. The finance technology program manager will also be responsible to manage the prioritization and backlog management of the finance technology landscape. The incumbent will work closely with leadership and pertinent stakeholders to set the strategy for finance technology across Eaton which will enable finance to shift from data compilation to be focused on providing business insights. Leadership and oversight of this role will include the management of large teams of resources, supporting finance technology projects. In this role as the Senior Manager - Finance Technology Program, you will be responsible to: Drive the design for the "finance of future" vision, identification of finance technology transformation initiatives and development of finance technology transformation roadmap enterprise-wide Collaborate with global senior leaders to drive consensus around financial technology decisions across functions and operations. Support the definition of the finance technology program governance structure, which includes program leadership, oversight and control. The executive sponsor, steering committee and technology program manager are represented within the program governance structure. The program manager is the liaison between the governance representatives and the PMO and communicates key information across both parties. Coordinate the priorities, schedule, budget, risks and issue management for Eaton’s evolving financial technology footprint (i.e. machine learning, AI, analytics, automation, enterprise data products, OCR, etc). Support finance leadership with business case development, vetting, and prioritization processes to ensure top technology candidates are selected for delivery. Work with resource managers to staff projects and mobilize. Define and communicate roles for project team members. Collaborate with technical and functional managers across finance and IT, to deliver strategic value to your business partners. Work with key stakeholders ensure support for the program and to outline high level work break down structure, critical path, resources, and effort in order to mobilize top technology initiatives. Monitor and report on program budget variances. Partner effectively with other supporting finance technology functions (GFSS, tax, audit, and treasury) and IT to ensure top initiatives are prioritized and planned collectively. Work with leadership to prepare and manage overall program budget; capital hardware, software, and labor; expense labor and non-labor Develop communication strategies and drive change management plans with key stakeholders. Work with project team members to outline risk management plans; identify risks and develop respective mitigation and contingency plans. Complete quality assurance of the project deliverables. Lead communications with key stakeholders. Ensure all communications related to implementation are completed Establish processes for managing risks and issues. Drive resolution of critical issues and lead or support business process deep dives to ensure root cause analysis and correction resulting in improved customer experience. Able to understand and leverage project management tools where appropriate and coach team members. Define and measure operational KPIs to monitor team's progress around technology initiatives. Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $149,600 - $205,700 a year. Eligible for an annual performance-based incentive plan with a target at 24% of base salary. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Technology or Business Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 10+ years project or financial management experience. Minimum 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams. Minimum 3+ years of prior management experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced subject matter expertise of financial application(s). Advanced financial business process acumen. Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge and solid understanding of program management, security & controls, data management, change management, accounting, and data security. Experience with agile program management delivery, establishing governance frameworks, and training programs is a plus. Position Success Criteria: Must be able to grow a culture around digital literacy. Demonstrates strong change agent mindset. Must be able to work with enterprise-wide senior finance and business leaders to develop and maintain the appropriate global financial systems strategy. Requires a broad knowledge of finance and technology trends and ability to translate that knowledge into strategic directions that support the businesses’ objectives. Possesses significant business knowledge as well as technical expertise in the following: operations finance, technology, SCM, accounting, and internal controls/SOX. Able to prepare and/or evaluate a business case for change by analyzing, researching and leveraging benchmarking and best practices related to technology This position will be responsible to report out to the senior levels of the company, so a strong executive presence is required.
