The Job

Reporting to General Manager (Finance), the appointee will be assigned to undertake several key projects of the Finance Department for the next three years, including the set-up and management of group consolidations and financial reports so as to ensure appropriate accounting and governance standards are applied to consolidation and reporting process, as well as supporting the revamp and implementation of the financial management system of the Department. The main responsibilities include:

• Develop and review the governance and reporting framework for managing subsidiary’s finance matters;
• Coordinate annual independent audit including preparing consolidated financial statements;
• Prepare consolidated management accounting reports;
• Manage inter-company finance matters;
• Work on the overhaul of the financial management system and its implementation to meet the operational needs and to comply with relevant legislative requirements;
• Develop and analyze statistical and financial information to assess operating results in terms of efficiency, performance against budget, and other matters related to the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness; and
• Support other projects for the streamlining and automation of the department’s operation.

The Person

• A recognized degree in Accountancy or equivalent;
• A qualified membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, or equivalent;
• At least 10 years' relevant experience in financial control and planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial operations management and reporting, auditing and analysis, of which at least 4 years should be at Manager level, preferably gained from sizable corporations or public organizations;
• Solid work experience in formulating and implementing accounting policies, systems and controls regarding consolidation and subsidiary management; 
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and can deal with people effectively;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and detail-minded;
• Mature, flexible and a good team player; and
• Able to work independently and under pressure.

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for two years.
