Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Global Logistics Procurement leader to join our team. This position is based in Dublin, Ireland. Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain management team, the leader Global Logistics Procurement is responsible for all of Eaton’s global logistics procurement including both the logistics IPO (International Procurement Office in Dublin) and all procurement activities globally. In this role, you will develop, deploy and maintain sourcing strategy for all Logistics categories in alignment with senior stakeholders, regional SCM teams and project managers to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply of materials & services at optimum quality, service and cost. You will identify future opportunities for growth and build and maintain strong strategic relationships with top logistics companies . This role will also lead Logistics Digitization Strategies by working across logistics and other functions to drive data improvements, network optimization and global visibility while leveraging synergies from procurement team. Responsibilities: developing long term commodity strategic plans, create commodity metrics and ensure commodity strategies are aligned and deployed managing a group of Category Leads with the intention to standardize category spend whilst reducing costs across all operating units leading discussions on supply base consolidation / optimization, policy in respect to usage / demand and risk & inflation mitigation strategies tailored and as appropriate for each given commodity. ensuring regular and meaningful benchmarking studies regarding tools / approaches and market dynamics for each category reviewing, approving, monitoring and reporting compliance against commodity agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions presenting to senior management new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives working across the logistics function to develop and advance digitization strategies to accelerate performance and advancement of tools and processes ensuring the Eaton tax model in Dublin is preserved and directly own and manage the tax requirements Qualifications Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Minimum of 7 years’ management experience for a multinational manufacturing organization Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university MBA from an accredited university 3-5 years’ professional experience in Project Management, Lean, Six Sigma, Supplier Souring or General Management 7-10 years’ professional experience in supervisory management capacity for large multinational manufacturing organization in procurement or logistics leadership 5-7 years’ professional experience managing multiple purchase sectors across a number of divisions/complex organization Position Criteria: Strong communication skills, with English (spoken and written) required and second / third languages advantageous although not essential Computer literate with high levels of capability & comfort utilizing office productivity tools, including video conferencing, etc. Experience of working across cultures. Experience & knowledge of purchase and finance processes Experience & knowledge and a proven track record in supply chain improvements Accomplished in negotiation skills Strong strategic and planning experience within a multinational corporation Understands technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations Possesses strong negotiation and supplier management skills Awareness of other functional roles and responsibilities and how they support enterprise and business objectives Knowledge of labor industry trends and risks Experience in the utilization of automated tools including eProcurement platforms and reverse auctions Awareness in international tax, duty, tariff implications for global commodities Candidate applying to the vacancy will be subject of the background screening. – if applicable #LI-LG1 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
