Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) organization is currently seeking a Director of Global Tenders to join our team. This position can be based in London, England, or remotely in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Position Overview: This position is responsible for delivering profitable growth through technical specification leadership and establishing and executing pursuit strategies for key projects within the Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) Group. This will be enabled through close collaboration with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute the project pipeline. This role will lead a global team of direct and functional reports. The candidate will create global alignment on the prioritization of key customer projects and be responsible for ensuring coordinated pursuit plans are established in a timely fashion and executed. In conjunction with regional commercial teams and global account managers, the candidate will ensure we are appropriately positioned on approved vendor lists (AVL) with the appropriate approved manufacturing locations (AML). With the support of global product managers, technical specification strategies will be established with key customer stakeholders with a focus on early front end engineering design (FEED) engagement. Additionally, the candidate will work with the project management, product management and regional businesses to facilitate bids and will track win / loss activity and AVL’s and AML’s by customer stakeholder to support future bid activity. Essential Responsibilities: Manage a team of direct and functional reports globally Coordinate with the global commercial team to build, prioritize and execute the project pipeline Develop commercially viable technical strategies with the product line teams and create tools and other collateral to support pursuit efforts Implement coordinated project pursuit strategies for each project across product lines and geographies, where necessary coordinating with other Eaton divisions Support creation of bid documents and assist in bid approval process Create databases for bid pricing, win / loss and AVL’s & AML’s and where appropriate communicate needs based on intelligence and support initiatives to drive strategic adjustments When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required Minimum 15 years of professional experience working on global projects in the electrical industry Minimum 10 years of sales or product management experience or working in a technical role Ability to travel internationally Preferred qualifications: MBA Broad knowledge electrical products market Experience in communications across broad groups including customers and executive management Working with international cross-functional teams Position Criteria: Think and act strategically Collaborate and execute effectively cross functionally Written and oral presentation skills to targeted audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Quality decision making High level of integrity Ability to prioritize business needs Ability to drive change Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
