As the Senior Manager, Global eProcurement, you will work within the Digital Operations team as part of Global eBusiness organization. The Digital Operations team was formed as the need to accelerate the scalability of our eCommerce capabilities is growing. Focus being to deliver eProcurement projects that enable our customers to acquire products and services from Thermo Fisher Scientific online with ease and efficiency. In order to achieve this, you will partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and technology service providers globally. As such, you must be able to comfortably navigate a matrix work environment with a global responsibility to servicing both internal and external teams.

How will you make an impact?

You will be responsible for the delivery of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s eProcurement customer project portfolio and capability, owning the quality of service KPIs, cost management of the team and results performance for integration project delivery and on-going excellence. In partnership with Commercial Business to Business (B2B) leaders, you will create and drive the global framework around fulfillment, customer transaction experience and eProcurement strategy. You will lead the creation of the multi-year strategic plan to ensure relevancy and innovation in eProcurement delivery is aligned to business priorities and outcomes. Additionally, you will lead a team of project and process managers who deliver customer solutions utilizing eCommerce platforms for the Fisher Scientific channel.

What will you do?

• Lead cross-functional analysis of current operational processes and identify capabilities needed in order to meet future state service levels and maintain a healthy project delivery portfolio
• Develop project plan (scope, resources, timeline, quality, and risk) in conjunction with PMO for operational projects and successfully deliver in collaboration with global cross-functional teams to achieve goals
• Benchmark eProcurement delivery capability to industry practices and trends to strategically mature operational capabilities to “best in class” supporting business growth objectives and end customer needs
• Partner with technical teams to incorporating automation, machine learning and self-serve capabilities
• Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to develop, execute and operationalize eProcurement solutions for customers transacting with Fisher Scientific
• Work across organizational boundaries to ensure consistent end-to-end order fulfillment experience focusing on touchless transactions and service levels for strong customer allegiance
• Drive operational excellence through regular reviews and performance scorecards as part of vendor management of eProcurement Marketplace relationships and outsourced providers of service to ensure Fisher Scientific eProcurement experience drives increasing year-over-year value
• Leverage vendor management and eProcurement tools to support spend analysis and annual plan (ex. Ariba)
• Develop and grow eProcurement staff, operational capability and efficiencies, foster career development

How will you get here?

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Marketing/eCommerce/Business or relevant experience
• 8+ years of experience in eCommerce, Business-to-Business and other related disciplines.
• 5+ years managing people
• Understanding of eProcurement solutions (ex. B2B, EDI, cXML and others)
• Proven ability to attract, lead, motivate and develop people
