Job Description

Key points and objectives of the position
Operational responsibility for our Global Assignment Management Hub in Beijing, a dedicated team of L5s, GAM Consultants and experts of about 20 people.
Main Tasks
• Supervision of the relevant steps of the typical assignment lifecycle (PRE/ON/POST): Preparation for departure / contract discussions / departure, support during the mission, ensuring the smooth and timely process of the return
• Control of global payroll processes for the relevant populations in compliance with the respective cash register closures
• Timely management and implementation of all annual processes for employees in international assignment (pay review, tax and social security law as well as labor law issues, etc.)

Contact person for interfaces
• Qualified contact person for country companies, specialist and HR departments when advising on all questions in the context of global assignments
• Contact person for escalation cases, i.e. with regard to individual contract design, social security, cost burden and resulting taxation issues
• Contact person for Centers of Competence, internal and external service providers regarding the planning, implementation and termination of international employee assignments

Ensuring compliance and audit requirements
• Verify compliance with all compliance requirements and clarification of any deviations
• Ensuring compliance with the guidelines for global assignments, taking into account the interests of the company and the employee
• Contact person for carrying out audits in the area of responsibility
• Addressing the findings by designing solutions and processes taking into account a variety of premises and dependencies (e.g. local laws, local and central policies, interfaces, contractual conditions, etc.) as well as different interests and under great coordination effort.

Other tasks
• Participation in the continuous development of global assignment management (guidelines, processes, work instructions, etc.), takeover of projects, sub-projects or work packages
• Coordination with the operational areas of the HRS/GS Hub Asia to implement and ensure global process standards
• Advising the responsible specialist and HR departments on the establishment of new companies and/or locations in China
• On the basis of the company values or the mission statement, lead, motivate and promote the team members by means of target agreements and performance assessments as well as ensure targeted internal communication in order to achieve the agreed goals.
• Ensure employee- and task-related qualification.
• Point out to team members applicable regulations and instruct them to comply
