Job Description

Main Activities

Operational responsibilities :

The Senior Manager – Lab Organization and Project Management designs and implement all strategies which will enable an efficient implementation of ADD France commercial projects. The following elements are considered as particularly impactful :

  • Support the salesforce in project pre-sell activities.
  • Mobilize Lab Organization Specialists to listen actively to customers, and propose innovative solutions to meet customer performance needs.
  • Favor laboratory access to organizational and technical innovation which will increase their performance internally and within their ecosystem.

  • Ensure implementation of instruments, track and peripheral devices/solutions in line with the initial project, putting together multidisciplinary teams including Service, IT, Field Application Engineers and external suppliers.
  • Optimize resource planning to secure project success.
  • Through clear communication : coordinate, manage priorities and follow performance indicators, including team efficiency.
  • Comply with laws and regulations, especially in the field of quality assurance and financial ethics.
  • Comply with financial frameworks (budgets, invoicing needs, …).
  • Manage project reviews with customers, and with sub-contractors.
  • Plan, optimize and make sure customers are properly trained to our solutions.
  • Convince both our customers and our company.

  • Identify customer needs for training.
  • If relevant, build new training programs to answer strategic customers specific needs.
  • Build training programs based on the number of projects to come and expressed needs (including training length and appropriate number of sessions).

Functional responsibilities :

  • Ensure recruitment, training and development of his/her team, together with making sure to retain talents, in compliance with Abbott rules and relying on HR support.
  • Make sure his/her team has the necessary means and competencies to meet ADD France goals and objectives.
  • Define an evaluation process to properly allocate projects based on competencies and workload.
  • Give feedback to his/her team in terms of goals and objectives, results, and competency improvement plans.
  • If needed, lead change projects.
  • Make sure the team comply with administrative tasks and activity traceability duties, as per Abbott rules and procedures.
  • Can decide, after hierarchy and HR validation, to end an employee contract.

  • Implement standardized planning processes, to ensure project management efficiency, sharing of the planning and workload within the organization, and better anticipation of needs to come.
  • Ensure resource planning and anticipation, identify potential issues and take corrective actions.
  • Follow a continuous improvement process on project management methodology, and propose the relevant corrective actions. Use Lean Six Sigma techniques.

  • Each year, ensure budget and resource forecasting in line with his/her targets.
  • Check expenses (travel, car, bonuses, …) and ensure reporting to the relevant stakeholders.

  • Represents ADD France with his/her peers at EMEA level, and influence process changes in line with his/her Division/country needs.
