The Senior Manager, Education Segment will be a key member of the eCommerce B2C team, and will collaborate and be responsible for (1) developing incubation ideas to grow eCommerce and (2) building a global strategy that spans solutions within the education ecosystem – all focused on the B2C education segment including parents/guardians of K-12 students and college/career students. He/she/they will be passionate about running a global business that delivers solutions to our target audience and effectively launching key initiatives at scale. He/she/they will be a key contributor to developing the segment strategy, internal and external partnerships, UX requirements, community priorities, and the portfolio of products and services.  This role is critical to defining how we evolve the Lenovo education value proposition to aspiring learners and parent/guardians of K-12, not only today, but well into the future. Specific responsibilities include: • Drive the vision of the Lenovo Education eCommerce ecosystem experience. This will include developing a feature/function roadmap for the student experience on Lenovo.com (https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/student), external partnerships that produce an incremental revenue lift, best in class solutions with Lenovo products and solutions as well as with key vendors in the space that drive value • Evolve a portfolio of solutions and products that will position competitively and help drive stickiness of the Lenovo offerings for each geography team • Identify where our audience engages and build partnerships, based on positive business models, that capture our audience’s attention where they are • Proactively identify and mitigate issues and potential obstacles in meeting business objectives • Create strategy, planning, business case and monthly business review documents for senior leadership and partnership discussions including decks and documents for presentations • Lead geography team interlocks and follow up actions • Provide thought leadership with respect to the target audience (parents/guardians of K-12 students and higher ed students), Lenovo’s fit in the education market, and how to engage from business perspective • Identify areas of incubation for Lenovo eCommerce in the education segment • Create and develop e2e plans and drive adoption of incubation areas • Contribute to the overall strategy and vision to grow membership in Lenovo’s education community (www.education.lenovo.com/us) and build competitive differentiation in customer experience • Contribute to the marketing strategy to identify target personas and drive consideration and recognition of the Lenovo EDU value proposition online and throughout the customer journey • Collaborate effectively with the LenovoEDU Community Team and all internal stakeholders #### Position Requirements: Required: • BA/BS with 7+ years combined experience working in or connected to the B2C and/or education technology spaces in various capacities Preferred Qualifications: MBA while not mandatory is highly preferred. • Ideal candidate will have sold products, solutions, or services to the B2C education customer base • Understanding of business and marketing strategy, and can use of competitive data to identify differentiators and establish value propositions that resonate with the target audience. • Experience with the sales process and conversion goals. • Capable of using web analytics and sales data to drive decisions and identify opportunities for improvement, and to validate the success of key site changes/enhancements. • Understanding of retail, channel and eCommerce best practices and synergies. • Superb conceptual thinking and problem-solving at all levels, ability to formulate a strategic, scalable plan with high attention to detail and desire to drive that plan with supporting functions through to completion and across geographic regions. • Experience with business modeling, measurement and research-driven approach. • An optimist, comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about helping shape the future for the best through constant improvement. • Flexibility to go above and beyond in a fast-paced/global organization and comfort with finding creative approaches to secure investments for high value activities. • International education experience We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
