Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director (Regulatory Affairs), the incumbent will assume the following:

• Supervise the Licensing & Registration Department
• Devise, establish and implement mechanisms and procedures for performing the licensing functions of the TIA in respect of travel agents, tourist guides, tour escorts and shops that inbound tour groups are arranged to patronise as empowered by the Ordinance
• Oversee the licensing work of TIA, including the issue, renewal, suspension and revocation of licences, in relation to travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts
• Oversee the operation of the administrative scheme for regulating shops that inbound tour groups are arranged to patronise
• Provide secretariat support to the Licensing Committee
• Perform other duties as assigned by seniors

Requirements

• Holder of a university degree with not less than 10 years of work experience, of which not less than 6 years is at manager level or equivalent; experience related to licensing or regulatory matters is preferable
• Good command of written English and Chinese and fluent in spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage
• Experience in the travel industry would be an advantage
