Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Formulate brand strategy to shape Hong Kong’s position as the World’s Meeting Place. Develop annual business plan for the key markets and industry sectors to drive sustainable growth.
  • Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with targeted MICE stakeholders inclusive of international MICE industry organisations, local and international professional associations, corporations and event organisers, local and overseas MICE agents, etc.
  • Direct the Business Development team at HO and WWO to effectively implement the business plan and drive MICE arrival growth. Formulate aggressive bidding strategy to win large-scale and strategic events and achieve excellent ROI.
  • Lead the New Product Development team to identify, package and promote new MICE experiences, venues, attractions and events.
  • Be one of the spokespersons in engaging the key stakeholders and media.
  • Develop and implement effective MICE funding schemes for supporting travel trade to sustain their business growth and identify new sources of business.
  • Develop annual budget, set performance targets, and effectively use allocated resources to achieve stretch goals and attain remarkable operation efficiency.


Requirements

  • University degree holder with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in marketing and business development, with at least 5 years in managerial position. Exposure in MICE and tourism related fields will definitely be an advantage.
  • Experience in leading an effective team across different markets to achieve aggressive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with, proven track record in driving sustainable growth in global or regional commercial organisations.
  • Demonstrated strategy development and problem solving ability with solid experience in providing critical business insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication abilities, with fluency in English, Chinese and preferably Putonghua.
