Senior Manager/Manager (Career Development for MBA) (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 494327) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
The successful candidate will provide leadership and assume responsibility for career services provided to students in the Faculty’s MBA programme. In this capacity, he/she ensures a comprehensive programme of workshops, counseling, recruiting, and other services that prepares the students to succeed in the job market. He/She will work to build the programme’s reputation in the local Hong Kong employment marketplace, as well as across the APAC and SEA markets. To achieve this objective, the appointee will create and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand the current recruiting portfolio, develop new and existing recruiting partnerships, and execute marketing initiatives. He/She plays a key role in ensuring consistency with and maximizing synergies between the career services offerings of the MBA programme, taught master programmes, undergraduate career development team and CEDARS. The fundamental keys to success for this role include proactive information sharing, collaboration, and communication across the Career Development team, CEDARS and within the Faculty. He/She will also work closely with the MBA programme team, Alumni Relations team and Marketing and Admissions teams.
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, preferably an MBA with at least 4 years’ corporate recruiting and/or career services experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English (knowledge of Chinese including Putonghua and/or other languages spoken in APAC and SEA would be an advantage); good interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills. They should also have a passion for developing and working with students, strong customer service orientation, the ability to develop and implement business development programmes at both strategic and tactical levels, and to manage multiple responsibilities and a diverse stakeholder group simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, a proven initiative to take on special projects and be self-motivated.
